Bien qu’etant devenu un groupe cultissime led Zeppelin  fut tout sauf ce qu’on pourrait appeller un groupe a ‘singles ‘ (même si ‘stairway to heaven est devenue l’une des chansons les plus connues au monde)  pourtant c’est avec ‘going california ‘ (tiré du même album IV) que tout le genie du Zep explose véritablement , une intro fabuleuse , et la voix de Robert Plant unique , qui monte et qui vient vous arracher les tripes pour nous emmener haut , tres haut

On a souvent (a raison d’ailleurs) focalisé sur Jimmy Page guitariste fantastique (le plus grand peut etre avec Hendrix) et sur John Bonham qui a totalement révolutionné la batterie mais ici c’est la plus grande voix masculine du blues blanc ; (l’équivalent de janis Joplin chez les femmes) qui transcende ce titre hallucinant et .... halluciné
