Top 100 - 100/79 I heard it through the grapevine (Marvin Gaye 1968)

 

Beaucoup l'ignorent mais ce titre fulgurant l'une des plus grandes chansons enregistrées par la célèbre Motown est a l'origine un titre de Gladys Knight and the pips (1967)

tres vite Marvin Gaye,  alors le poulain fétiche de Berry Gordy patron du label Motown(il a épousé Anna ,  la fille de Gordy )reprendra cette magnifique  chanson qui parle d'infidelité et de trahison au sein d'un couple et en fera un numéro 1 dans les Charts

Ce titre qui va devenir un incontournable tant du répertoire de l'immense Marvin Gaye que de l'histoire de la musique "Soul" sera a nouveau repris par Creedence Clearwater Revival  quelques années plus tard dans une incroyable version de plus de 11 ' sur l'album ' Cosmo factory (1970)

l'album sur lequel se trouve ce titre sublime s'appellera d'abord 'in the groove '(1968) avant d'être rebaptisé du nom  même de la chanson 'I heard it through the grapevine en 1969
